Book Mark Swap at Swap Central

So guys these are the bookmarks i made for the swap at the Swap Central.... As you know Vintage is my style... and also i tried to maintain a theme with all my bookmarks to make them like a set ... Here they are..

I didn't want to make a traditional looking corner bookmark so i got to thinking what can i make it look like??? and then i came up with the idea of making it look like a Japanese fan... So here it is.. i used punched the lace on the edge of some PP and then used a score board to score the folds and created the fan. Threaded some ribbon through the holes and added the chipboard accent my hatpin (see tutorial) and the flower with the shell bead in the center and added the beaded train to complete the look of the fan..

2. Ribbon Bookmark
I used the thin embroidery ribbon(my personal fav) and first strung the charm at one end then added the beads and tide a knot so they wont slide. Next i cut the required length and then added more beads ... I made the tassel using regular sewing thread in black and finished the whole thing by tying the tassel at the end and finishing my knots with some fabric glue..

This one is my favorite i had the most fun creating it!!! i sued a Popsicle stick that is a bit wider then the regular one and i sorta gave it a guy theme... so i lined some map on one side... and some washi tape on the back(not seen in pic) .I inked the edges green.. Then added the cute voyage themed buttons(cut of the shanks first) i added tiny shells as embellishments. I made a hole using a crafting knife and added an eyelet to prevent the Popsicle stick from splitting,.. threaded some ribbon added a tiny safety pin and added some shell charms...

This is a regular 6x 2 bookmark i used some PP that i punched using Martha Stewart punch and then added a doily. I used some measuring tape and a little photo corner sticker... I added some leaves flowers and a chipboard piece. Added rhinestones to the center of the flowers . For the image i cut it out of a decoupage sheet adhered to some black card stock to give it some weight then added a dome sticker on the image ( you cant make out in the photo here)... Punched a hole at the top added an eyelet some ribbon and a little hair-clip...

I used some designer PP i just love this PP... Added some tiny metal flower , some velvet leave and some little butterflies... I has a flap that lifts with magnets...

Hope you enjoy them
Ciao Ash
