Today's project is very different i don't think u guys must have seen this elsewhere. This is a technique i invented a couple of years back . I am going to show you guys how to use fabric on ur craft projects be it cards, flowers, scrapbooks, tags, ATC's etc.
There are a wide variety of fabric that u can use like cotton, brocade, velvet, synthetic and cotton blends. Just as long as the material is a little thick and not too porous like chiffon, Georgette, satin and silk cannot be used as u will not get the same result.
So, here are the two projects u will learn in the video:-

Fabric Covered Tag

  1. Computer printer paper
  2. Fabric glue
  3. Desired fabric
  4. Scissors
  5. Tags, Chipboard Pieces, scrapbook page etc
  6. Cloth Iron
Watch the video for the method :-

Dhin Chak Dhin Card

The title is so fun. I usually dont do this particular color scheme on my projects but with this particular challenge i made an exception it was hard for me to find the right paper because i dont usually have anything this bright i am talking about the photo challenge at ICR. Here, take a look-
And we were also supposed to make our own embellishments so i had a lot of fun trying to figure out what i wanted to do as there are not 1 but 4 photos in there !! So, i finally decide to take the colors as my inspiration and hence i have taken ORANGE, BLUE & PINK as my color scheme for my card.
Also at flutter by Wednesdays this week is a sketch challenge:-

So, combining the two i have made my card and although i do say so myself i am really happy with the end product. Here, is what i created:-

i have also done a video tutorial of me making the card so to see how it came to be just watch below:-

Am entering this card for the following challenges

Spiral Rosette Tutorial

I made some spiral roses and a hat-pin for my latest card that i am gonna be submitting for the latest ICR challenge. As for the current challenge you have to make your own embellishments as well as there is a photo inspiration also. So, i thought of making a video tutorial to show you guys what i did and how i did it no better way than this..

Here, is a photo to give u guys an idea:-

And here is the tutorial

I am also going to make the tutorial for the card so stay tuned because thats gonna be the next post.

Brocade Trifold Card

So, here is a card i made using brocade fabric instead of pattern paper . I shall do a how to video later to show you can use almost any kind of fabric on ur projects. but for now here is the card.

Since the base itself was so ornate and the structure was so complicated i kept the embellishments to minimum .I just simply used a Peacock zari embroidery Piece on the front and a tassle to give it some interest. Here is the card when u open it up:-

The card standing up :-

I also created an envelope also with the red brocade and added the tassel to complete the look. And lastly added some golden zari ribbon. Perfect for a wedding theme!!!

Vintage Bird ATC's

So, finally after my long dry spell without crafting here are my little projects. Nothing very fancy but two ATC's for my monthly ATC swap at Crazy about ATC's. The theme for this month is Animals or Birds. i love birds and i looove vintage so here is a marriage of the two:-

To begin with i layered them with some vintage book page pattern paper and inked the edges with black ink.

For the first one i used a thin ribbon to make it look like an electric wire . I cut out the bird from a piece of black card-stock and used pop dots to add dimension.
With this one i did some paper piecing to create a fence, and then i cut out the owl silhouette from some crepe paper in black leftover from another project and again used dimensional dots to raise it. I just love how they turned out...
